We are a hugely popular beachfront cafe in the picturesque village of Mudeford, in Christchurch Dorset. It is a great location offering stunning views across Christchurch Bay and The Needles of the Isle of Wight, within a site that offers facilities for even the most discerning of beach visitor.We are also one of the rarest of breeds in this day and age a long term, family run business (four generations since 1934) and a truly independent Coffee House and Cafe/Restaurant. Our independence and experience enable us to offer our customers only the very best at a surprisingly affordable cost. A 75 Year heritage teaches you what customers truly appreciate, good, wholesome food at a price that doesn't savage the wallet. We source all of our products with quality being the most paramount criteria of all. Our reputation has largely been forged by our outstanding meals, particularly the breakfasts. Currently there are twelve choices, ensuring that no diner goes away still hungry. Trust us! The portions are generous!

Cafe Culture
75 years of trading makes us as fussy as we expect our customers to be, and we are very particular about most things, - especially our coffee. We pride ourselves in the quality of our specialist coffees served by our trained barista staff. You won't find any push-button apology for a cappuccino here. Our staff are highly experienced and primed to serve only coffees of the highest standard.
What you may not know is that the coffee we serve is our very own unique blend. So serious are we about serving only the best coffee that we knew we had to create our own blend to get the results we wanted. With the excellent assistance from the folks at Smith's Coffee Company our own blend was devised. It is something of a hit even if we do say so ourselves. And now not only do our customers get a fantastic coffee but its also served within, at most, a few short weeks of being roasted. You won't find much fresher than that.
The Avon Beach Blend is so popular we have even been talked into making it available in retail packs as well. So now, not only can you enjoy it in the Cafe but you can also take it home too.
Avon Beach Cafe Food Hygiene Excellence
In this day and age of food horror stories continually being reported in the national press The Avon Beach Cafe is proud to announce that we have been awarded the highest rating of food hygiene practice by the Food Standards Agency.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is a new initiative designed to give the customer a clearer indication of competency and cleanliness of all food establishments. It is the Food Standards Agency's intention that each Cafe/Restaurant etc. will display their rating at the entrance to their premises giving clear guidance to the visitor.
You will also be able to check a premises rating on their web site in advance before deciding whether to visit them or not. It is not mandatory for a business to display their rating but if they are not one might want to ask the proprietor why. For more information visit food.gov.uk/ratings
