Avon Beach Cafe
The Avon Beach Cafe is one of the original buildings from the mid 1920's. The Derham family have been running it since the early 1930's. To start with it was an old tea house serving just cream teas an sandwiches, with a croquet lawn and crazy golf in front of the cafe. Pictures in the cafe show how it used to be.We offer good quality meals with good portions, you won’t feel hungry when you leave. Our breakfasts are renowned in the local area as are the hot chocolates and cake selection. So whatever you feel like from a coffee and a cake, to a full blow out with our Mega breakfast, gammon steak or large fry up, you won’t feel disappointed.
The building itself has changed little, but extensions have opened it up considerably, to cope with today's trade. The menu is appealing with our special breakfasts being popular with the locals and visitors alike. Homemade meals, fish and chips, Jacket potatoes are just a few of the meals we offer. With stunning views across Christchurch Bay to the Needles and the Isle of Wight. Across to Hengistbury Head and all the boats coming and going from Christchurch Harbour.
We are on a regular bus route, so getting around is not a problem.
