Why not try our Bouncy Slide this summer at Avon Beach

Look out this summer for our bouncy slide which will be situated outside the shop. Great to keep the kids entertained whilst you enjoy an ice cream!

Warning

During the summer months all along the south coast you can find a fish called a "Weaver" fish.

This fish when the weather gets warm likes to bath in the shallow waters. Unfortunately to ward off predators they have a dorsal spine that are slightly poisonous. This can give a painful sting too. Treatment is to soak the area in as hot as water as you can stand,the pain eases after about half an hour. Depending on how hard you stood on the fish.

Prevention is better than cure, we suggest wearing plastic sandals or shoes. These are available in the shop if you require them.

Windsuring

Avon Beach is one of the best local areas for Windsurfing. Parking right on the beach with a short way to the sea. With a good South westerly wind you can really fly. We have had some of the top windsurfers here.

A Windsurfing shop is just 4 minutes walk away in case you damage or need any extra kit. Due to health and safety wetsuits are not permitted to be worn in the cafe/shop

Water Sports

We have canoes for hire,all ages are welcome young children acompanied by an adult(buoyancy aids are compulsory which are provided)
